St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will present its Advent Lessons and Carols service celebrating the transition from darkness to light with hymns, anthems and carols. The church will be lit by hundreds of candles held by attendees, before the proclamation of the Great Gospel. This concert will feature music from a variety of composers of different nationalities and eras, including Adam lay y'bounden by Russell Jackson; People, Look East, words and music by Eleanor Farjeon; Ave Marie by Edward Elgar; And the Glory of the Lord from Handel’s Messiah; and Now Comes the Son of Man by J.S. Bach.
