Stay Current with the Pick of the Day: Ventanas

Brought to life by dancers Antonio Arrebola and Tamara Saj, vocalist José Cortés Fernández, guitarist Ricardo Díaz, and maestro Teo Morca, Arte y Pasión’s Ventanas charts a journey to Andalusia and “into the human psyche.” Internationally recognized, Arrebola has performed at the Bienal de Málaga and Seville’s Festival Flamenco de la Alameda de Hércules. In 2010, Saj scored the Artist Foundation of San Antonio’s Bernard Lifshutz Award for Original Theatrical Production. Immersed in flamenco from a young age, Fernández is known for putting a distinct spin on the genre. Boasting more than two decades in the business, Díaz recorded his album Travesuras in Jerez, Spain. Credited with bringing flamenco to the Northwest, choreographer/educator Morca once broke the Guinness World Record for the “fastest footwork.” $17.50-$50; 2pm Sun, Feb 3; Little Carver Civic Center, 226 N Hackberry, (210) 207-2234, Check out our full online calendar of upcoming events here:
