When: Fri., May 19, 8-9 p.m. 2017

During this guided walking tour, guests will use acoustic technology to detect bat echolocation calls as they emerge at dusk to forage for insects. You will learn a little bit about how the technology works, which species of bats are native to this area other than the famous Freetail, and about the diet, habitat, and threats facing bats throughout the state and around the U.S. The tour will meet approximately a half hour after sunset, and last an hour to an hour and a half.
