SXSW: OBX and Tech-Neek

Veteran Saytown rapper and vindictive wage-earner OBX has been in the rap game for over a decade. In that time, he’s dealt with no lack of doubters and naysayers — who he eloquently addressed with the words “Fuck ’em” in a recent chat with the Current. On March 19, OBX will receive a measure of vindication to throw back at any haters. Along with producer Tech-Neek, OBX will open for Jean Grae and Invincible + Waajeed at Karma Lounge in Austin as part of South by Southwest. The duo will perform in support of their recently released Rage EP, a trim and sardonic opus on the trials of the eroding middle class.

OBX described the opportunity as a “privilege” because Jean Grae “is really nice with hers,” before adding that her track “Supa Luv” is “just sick.”
