Widely hailed as the man who made classical music cool again, violin virtuoso Joshua Bell performs with the San Antonio Symphony for one-night only. Called “the most celebrated American-born violinist of the modern era,” Bell's performances have been described as special events that are just plain fun to listen to, and he was the mystery street musician in the Washington Post’s 2008 Pulitzer Prize-winning article. Bell will perform on a $3.5 million Stradivarius violin built in 1713. $10-60, 8 p.m. Majestic Theater, 224 E. Houston, (210) 226-5700.
