Tamal Festival Returns This December in New Location

Sunday Masa, a holiday tamales extravaganza held in 2017, will return this December to a new venue.

Now slated to be held in St. Paul Square, Sunday Masa will also charge an admission fee to try and curtail the hordes of tamal-loving San Antonians that showed up to last year's inaugural event at Alamo Beer. Tamales will be available for purchase from eight vendors, at $2 per tamal or place your bulk orders to pick up from your favorite vendors at a later date.

Sunday Masa, put on by Eg Collaborations, will take place December 2 from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature tamales, local holiday vendors, pan dulce, hot chocolate and pictures with Santa. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Elf Louise Christmas Project.

Ticket prices are $5 for general admission and $10 for VIP, which includes entrance to the festival an hour before doors open to the general public. Tickets can be purchased through Facebook or Eventbrite.
