Taylor Maupin's uses personal, reoccurring dreams and blurred memories to create her work "Once Upon A Time," is an installation in which the viewer is invited to immerse themselves in a domestic setting. The exhibition focuses on childhood trauma and how a person is affected throughout their lifetime. In her approach, Maupin forces the viewer to ask questions about issues such as mental illness, coping mechanisms, sexual abuse, and violence.
