With El Cucuy, the terrifying Mexican boogeyman, and his alien friends tearing up SA, artist John Medina won first prize in the Tejano Conjunto Festival's annual poster contest. An artist at Alamo Basement, Medina's work will be the official poster of the 2015 festival. A full list of finalists is available here.

Chosen as the Best Puro San Anto Festival in the 2014 Best of San Antonio issue, the Tejano Conjunto Festival is presented by the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center. Though the lineup isn't out yet, we're looking forward to what awesome Tex-Mex artists will join Medina's chartreuse green lazer beams and awesome Sam Elliot stache for the fest on May 14, 16-18.
