| Texas Terri|
From Texas Terri's perspective, praise doesn't come much higher than that. Ever since moving from Austin - where she was a dedicated follower of that city's '80s punk scene - to Hollywood, she's committed herself to carrying the torch for the kind of sassy, proto-punk, trash-rock patented by the Runaways and the New York Dolls.
Even amongst the countless garage-punk revivalists who've emerged in recent years, Terri stands outs, partly because of the shameless raunch of her presentation (for years, she was best known for a Wendy O. Williams-like penchant for removing her top onstage and dousing herself in water) and partly because she rocks with real abandon. She performed in the little-seen movie Prey for Rock & Roll, and had the admirable bad manners to talk smack about the film's deluded wannabe-rocker Gina Gershon.
