The San Antonio Public Library will host a tribute to Carmen Tafolla, Texas’ poet laureate, on Tuesday, November 10 at the Central Library Auditorium (600 Soledad St.).

Tafolla was San Antonio's first poet laureate, and took on the statewide title earlier this year. She will hold a reading and a book signing at the event, and will be joined by a variety of local performers in a presentation that will integrate multimedia elements with the spoken word. Here's the order of the full program:

Film Tribute: Survival Instructions - NowCastSA
Reading of The Storykeeper -  Carmen Tafolla and Annette Flores
Poesía con Música - Azúl
Dramatic Reading - Carmen Tafolla and Eduardo C. Garza
Spoken Word Performances - Anthony the Poet, Jesse Cardona, Amanda Flores, Andrea Vocab, Women of Ill Repute

The event takes place tonight from 6:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. If you can't make it, NowCastSA will live stream the event.
