Thanksgiving prep assist and Boiler House noise

Ever since the Pearl Brewery transformed from a place to brew beer to a foodie destination, restaurants have been moving to the fast-developing complex. The Boiler House Texas Wine & Grill Garden (312 Pearl Pkwy, Building 3), from the same group that owns Max's Wine Dive, is the most recent Brewery resident. Boiler House officially opened today, and Chef James Moore, previously at Max's, is at the helm featuring a variety of Texas game, like quail, boar, venison, and antelope.

Thanksgiving is two weeks away, but if you're cooking the turkey this year, it's going to be a short two weeks. Gird your culinary loins this weekend by taking a Thanksgiving cooking class at Sustenio at the Eilan Resort & Spa (17103 La Cantera Pkwy). Chef David Gilbert will go over the basics of cooking for the holiday and prepare lunch for attendees. The class is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 17. The price is $75.
