Yep, the cannons are the original ones that were outside the Alamo during the revolution back in 1836. The cannons were being transported to Texas A&M University in College Station, but not before stopping at Buc-ee's, which is basically an unofficial must-do for every road trip.
But it gets even better (translation: more Texan). While the cannons are precious cargo, they weren't transported in a high-security trailer or even a closed trailer or truck at that. The cannons rode in the back of pickup truck.
