The Current Is Seeking Interns for the 2016-2017 School Year

If you're a college student who prefers writing stories, shooting video and taking photos over fetching coffee or pretending to be busy while surfing the internet behind a cubicle, consider joining the San Antonio Current this school year.

We're seeking to hire a few college-age interns for each semester in the 2016-17 school year. As an intern here, you won't be filing or making copies. We're looking for fearless reporters, talented photographers and good writers. You don't need to be a journalism major, although experience contributing to a campus newspaper or any any other publication is preferred. We'll work with your schedule as long as you're able to come to our office for roughly twelve hours a week.

If you're interested, please send a cover letter, resume and three samples of published work to In your letter, please indicate which of the following areas you find most interesting: news, food, music, video or photography. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis. Applicants who are enrolled in school and are able to receive academic credit are preferred.

We look forward to hearing from you.
