Two San Antonio transplants are merging companies to bring about a new concept to The Pearl and the city at large this fall. Bay Bird Inc., a San Diego-based public relationships firm announced One Lucky Duck and Tim the Girl will team up to create The Good Kind, a 20-seat cafe inside One Lucky Duck's current location at 303 Pearl Pkwy this fall.

The merger makes sense. Owners Noah Melngailis and Tim McDiarmid have both provided healthy juices and meal delivery, respectively, for the last several years. With The Good Kind, the two will provide the SA community with "clean, nourishing, sustainable and delicious" fare offered for dining-in, taking-out or delivery.

Clayton & Little Architects and Doris Palmeros Design will collaborate with Melngailis and McDiarmid on the modern cafe.

Fans of One Lucky Duck can get their fix Friday through Sunday 9 to 5 p.m. through July 3.
