The Poetics: A New Play about Art, Love & Immigration

When: Wed., May 30, 7:30-8:30 p.m.

The University of Texas at San Antonio Music Department presents The Poetics, an original stage play about the last days of Greek philosopher Aristotle, who despite his prominent status nevertheless faced execution due to his non-Athenian ethnic heritage and non-citizen political status. The play combines biographical drama and original compositions for piano and guitar to explore aesthetic and political issues that have persisted from Aristotle's day to our own.
