The president of Texas Auto Salvage is selling a $3.5 million mansion that's anything but junk

A $3.5 million Mediterranean-style home is on the market just west of San Antonio, and it's loaded with high-end features such as a columned atrium with dual grand pianos, a six-car garage, a tiki bar and a pool ringed with palm trees, both real and artificial.

According to county records, the property is being sold by Daniel W. Hack and Joni Brook. Hack is identified in corporate records as president of longtime South San Antonio salvage operation Texas Auto Salvage Inc.

However, the building materials in the nearly 8,000-square-foot home came from anywhere but the scrapyard. Travertine tile accented with Onyx is used for flooring in the first level, and the kitchen features top-of-the-line commercial appliances and Aragon granite countertops, according to the sales listing.

Built in 2007, the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath home is situated on 11 acres and also includes as standalone private gym, a 2,400-square-foot guest home and a metal barn.
