Alamo Drafthouse presents a special Mother's Day viewing of The Sound of Music, a 1965 movie musical directed by Robert Wise. Starring Julie Andrews as Maria, a young woman failing in her attempts to become a nun. The convent sends Maria to work as a governess for a Naval officer who must often leave his 7 mischievous children behind. The children make their attempts at running Maria off, but her spontaneity and friendliness wins them over. Maria and the Captain find themselves in love and must reevaluate their lives in order to maintain it.
