The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife is a comedy by Charles Busch whose previous comedies include Psycho Beach Party and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. His humor is bold, his point of view startling and his plays most popular and entertaining. In this play Marjorie, is having a crisis. Like many of us she grapples with a life suddenly meaningless in middle age, a husband consumed by his profession and a mother whose focus on her maladies and bodily functions leave Marjorie feeling unmoored and disconnected. Enter a mysterious woman Lee who suddenly provides Marjorie with direction and new sense of focus, however there is a cost. Is Marjorie prepared to pay it?
