It took me about six weeks to finally make it to The Trinity Market, a student-led market held at Trinity University on Saturday mornings, and I'm kind of kicking myself for waiting this long to stop by. Learn from my mistakes.
The Trinity Market is charming and varied, but rapidly growing. For my first stop of hopefully many, I ate a chicken mole corn tortilla taco and chicken verde tamal from Cocina Heritage, had a bite of Bombay Salsa Co.'s biryani burrito and enjoyed a refreshing grapefruit and ginger popsicle from Pop'topia Pops out of New Braunfels. Oh, and there was plenty of produce, wine, soy candles and what nots to load up on.
The market, which is going on its seventh week this Saturday, will launch new hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to include breakfast for vendors along with a new partnership with Break Fast & Launch, the nation's first culinary business accelerator. The first day of the partnership will feature demos by BFL vendors including Deep River Specialty Foods, Le Sucre Catering, Revolucion Juice + Coffee, Cocina Heritage, Texas Black Gold Garlic, Made's Food Co., Wabi Sabi, Bombay Salsa Co. and True Wellness.
