The Vivacious Pink Martini Orchestra Returning to San Antonio Next Year

With lead singer China Forbes at the helm, Pink Martini sounds like the band that’s playing in the background at literally every party James Bond goes to when he’s looking for the girl or the villain – or both.

Founded in 1994 by Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Ore., Pink Martini blends a mix of pop-jazz, lounge, and Latin music that feels, at times, both contemporary and vintage. The mini orchestra was originally started in response to the terrible music Lauderdale would hear at fundraising events when he was working in politics.

On tour in support of the new album Je Dis Oui!, the group will most likely play a few new tunes as well as old favorites from past albums on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in the H-E-B Performance Hall inside the Tobin Center.

Tickets ($34-$75) go on sale to the public Friday, October 5 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online, via phone (210) 223-8624 and in-person at the Tobin Center’s Box Office (100 Auditorium Circle). Box Office hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.
