The University of the Incarnate Word takes a glance at its past in a photo history, documenting The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word responding to a call to help those suffering from a yellow fever epidemic in 1869. The three young Sisters set up a clinic that would become the Santa Rosa Hospital.
