Hurricane Harvey forced several events to reschedule (see: Whiskey Business now on September 1), and for michelada lovers the reshuffling means a beer-filled weekend.
Michelada Mayhem, which was schedule for last Sunday at The Block, will now be held this Sunday, September 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. The event will pit seven food trucks against each other to see who can make the best michelada in the land. Stop by for a free glass giveaway, drink specials, raffles, and live music by DMG and Luis M DJ Kaoss. The event is all ages and pet-friendly. 14530 Roadrunner Way, (210) 690-3333.
Michelada Madness, on the other hand, will kick off at 4 and run through 11 p.m. at Freetail's Tasting room. Tickets, $20, are still available to sample micheladas from El Luchador, The Squeezebox, La Botanica, Franky Diablos, Jandro's Garden Patio, Bexar Pub, The Cove, Fresca and Kung Fu Kitchen Patio Bar. The event will include performances by Grupo Folklorico de Bendiciones, live luchador matches by The Wrestling Association and food vendors. Tickets are available through Eventbrite and at the door. 2000 S. Presa St., (210) 625-6000.
