Completely screened-in pools are a rarity in San Antonio, where — despite what last week's cataclysmic winter storm would suggest — the elements don't really require such precautions.
Those kind of enclosures aren't so rare, however, in humid Florida, where homeowners use them to keep flying bugs and other critters at bay.
Turns out the sellers of this home that went on the market for $629,000 in far West San Antonio hailed from Florida, and they liked the idea of a screened-in pool enough that they brought it to Texas with them. In this case, the screen doesn't just keep out the bugs but also leaves from the dense wooded area in which the pool is ensconced.
Beyond the pool and the plentiful trees, the three-bedroom, three-bath has some other noteworthy features, including beautiful hardwood floors and a massive kitchen upgraded with granite countertops and cherry wood cabinets.
