Trinity University is starting an "educational farmers market," that will combine local food vendors with cooking lessons, sustainable garden workshops, and fitness classes.

The market will kick off on Saturday, March 26, and will run each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. thereafter. It will be located on the stretch of campus that backs up to Hildebrand Avenue, between Shook Avenue and Stadium Drive. Vendors include Revolucion Juice and Coffee, Koch Ranches, Local Sprout and Mobile Om.

The market is the brainchild of Trinity graduates and current students, who started the market with a near-$100,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The money will fund education programs at the market, vendor development, and marketing.

For more information, check out the market's website and Facebook page.
