George Takei, God's gift to both homosexuality and the internet, is running a Halloween costume contest on Facebook, and it's a perfect opportunity to let the world know that everything is awesome over at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

A group from the UTSA Student Financial Aid & Enrollment Services are in the running for their on point costumes of characters from The Lego Movie. We've got Good Cop/Bad Cop, Wyldstyle, Emmet Brickowoski, Unikitty, President Business, Vitruvius and Batman. The only thing that is missing is Benny, the 80's astronaut—SPACESHIP!

According the UTSA's Facebook page, some creative and talented people underneath those costumes are identified as  Leandra Garcia, Oscar Martinez III, Gabriel Mendiola, Laura Evans, Daniel Campos, Khanh Nguyen, and Nestor Esquivel, although we are not entirely sure who is who. Whoever they are, we think they're great, and we want to be their friend.

Voting ends Friday at 6 p.m. PST. The winners will receive an autographed copy of a Star Trek: The Original Series DVD set and the knowledge that George Takei himself touched their copy of Star Trek: The Original Series.

To vote, all you need to do is to "like" their photo from this set on Takei's Facebook page. Get to liking, San Antonio.
