Walk on the River: A Black History of Alamo City

When: Fri., Aug. 17, 6-10 p.m. 2018

Join The Carver Community Center for their first public showing of “Walk on the River- A Black History of the Alamo City.” This independent film documents both the history and the contributions African-Americans have made to the fabric of San Antonio, Texas from Emancipation to the Civil Rights movement. The film will touch on religion, politics, education, social organizations and community in order to paint a vivid picture of life for Black San Antonians.
