'Whataburger Grinch' Left Whoville to Steal Christmas in Seguin – Literally

The Seguin Police Department is asking for the public's help in catching who they've named the "Whataburger Grinch."

The name is spot on, seeing as how the unidentified suspect straight up stole Christmas.

Surveillance tapes from a Whataburger in Seguin shows a man casually chilling by the counter in the wee hours on Tuesday, December 5. The man took it upon himself to reach over the counter, unplug the Christmas lights on the tree, and make a run out the door with the tabletop tree in hand.

The news is extra sad since the employees had saved up money to buy the tree and even made the ornaments. The police department said it would even call Guadalupe County Jail to make sure this Grinch's jumpsuit is extra orange, because Whataburger. Ba dum tss.

Puns aside, Seguin police is asking for anyone with information to call the department and speak to Officer Martina Wissmann at (830) 379-2123. If your tip leads to an arrest, they'll reward you with a Whataburger gift card.
