Local artist Chris Sauter often cuts precise patterns in walls and then uses the cutouts to make a related sculpture, leaving both wall and sculpture as the finished work of art. In conjunction with his installation in the McNay’s new exhibition “Immersed,” Sauter leads guests in the creation of a three-dimensional design using repeated shapes cut from cardboard.
