We've heard a lot about restaurants — even zoos.
It all started last week when Austin State Hospital — a psychiatric facility — had to pull down a "no guns" sign, The Dallas Morning News reports.
The sign wasn't posted in response to the still controversial open carry law, it had been there all along. After all, guns in a psychiatric hospital are probably not the best idea.
Instead, the 10 state-run psychiatric hospitals will have to do-away with long-standing policies of prohibiting weapons, and, instead, ask visitors to voluntarily conceal their weapons or leave them in their cars, multiple media reports indicate.
The hospitals could be penalized for not allowing people to carry their guns at the psychiatric facilities.
