You'll Soon Be Able to Nerd out on Coffee at Paramour

If you're hoping to avoid the crowds of bar-goers on weekends but would still like to enjoy the plush couches and Downtown view found at Paramour, this should be big news for you.

The rooftop bar (that doesn't require a membership to get to or a stay at a downtown hotel or a drive to 1604) will launch it's new coffee program on December 7. The plan is to offer a full espresso menu that complements Paramour's extensive and boutique-y selection of spirits. The coffee will start pouring at 7 a.m. and close (almost completely) at 4 p.m.; after that cut-off, only shots of espresso and cold brew on tap will be served. Fine by me, I can usually go for an espresso shot after work. A sort of third wind if you will.

General Manager Chris Ware is hoping to turn the spot into a mid-day meeting joint, "Come in and have your meeting and then stay for cocktails," he said over the phone.

Details are still being worked out (but Paramour's already posted a photo of their fancy new espresso machine), but you can expect to find coffee beans from across Texas, pastries and cocktails starting at noon.
