Pennsylvania modern-rockers The Starting Line will defrost your heart and cause some hair-raising goose bumps with their new power-pop CD, Direction. Just check out the new video for “Island,” which was recently the most streamed video on MTV2. Heralded as the princes of pop-punk after their major label debut on Geffen and a semi-headlining slot on the 2005 Nintendo Fusion tour, the band was stalled by label troubles for a frustrating spell. But The Starting Line has resurfaced and are starting over in a lot of ways, armed with their best record to date. Long Island’s Bayside add their post-punk shenanigans and dirty guitar sound to the show, while ’70s southern punk rockers Steel Train and Worchester’s Four Year Strong share the stage. $15/$17, 7pm, The White Rabbit, 2410 N. St. Mary’s, (210) 737-2221.
