San Antonio indie rock troupe The Heroine hits the road with a tour kick off show that doubles as a birthday party for lead singer Isaac Benavidez. The band heads to the Midwest for two weeks and will be playing shows in and around the Chicago area in support of their latest release, The Heroine, which was produced by P.O.D. guitarist Marcos Curiel. They just signed a management agreement with the Joe Chavez Music Group in Chicago, which led to some showcases and an upcoming radio interview in The Windy City. Touring relentlessly and playing music festivals around the country without any label support or backing, the band has developed a loyal fan base that continues to grow and gain momentum — help them combat high gas prices on the road with a big hometown sendoff! $5, 8:30pm, Bar 11, 126 W. Rector, (210) 524-1016.
