This popular, Austin-based quintet is poised to leap beyond their Texas borders with their eponymous studio debut, and is backing it up with an aggressive touring schedule of 200+ dates this year that includes an ACL slot. While playing at Austin landmark Momo’s in different bands, respectively, the group started jamming together and now view themselves as victims of fate more than circumstance. Their genre-defying sound, bar-band Americana blended with Southern Rock jams and rootsy rhythms, opens them up to a new group of listeners, and their no-single-front-man format adds to the multi-genre appeal. The three guitarists/lead singers are a must-see live, and a bluesy Wurlitzer piano and Hammond B-3 organ strengthen the diverse sound. Jason Eady opens. $12, 8pm, Sam’s Burger Joint, 330 E. Grayson, (210) 223-2830.
