Release Date: 2008-09-17

The din of cash registers in America often drowns the voices of factory workers across the globe. To highlight the need for a Sweat Free Ordinance in SA, the San Antonio Against Sweatshops Campaign screens four enlightening films. Mardi Gras: Made In China (above) follows teenage workers employed at the largest Mardi Gras bead factory in the world, contrasting the lives of American consumers and the harsh reality faced by Chinese workers. Free, Monday-Thursday, screening times and locations at sweatfreesanantonio.org.
