The Carver presents a class with Ghanaian drummer Jerry Kwashie Dzokoto, a djembe soloist for the percussion group Djembe Kan. After being exposed to Ghanaian drum and dance as a young child, Dzokoto began his formal training as a percussionist at age 5. Since then he has studied under various master drummers and has journeyed to outlying regions and villages to learn traditional rhythms and dances from the source. $10, 11:30am-1pm, The Carver, 226 N.
