The Red Elvises have managed to surpass one-trick-pony gimmickry, inventing a hybridized sound that accesses both their ethnic Russian roots and American ’50s and ’60s surf and pop influences along the way — Siberian surf-a-billy, if you will. Their onstage exuberance keeps them on the road. Live performances, peppered with frequent costume changes, outlandishly shaped instruments, and constant gyration, have achieved a definite King-like Vegas quality. $12/15, 8pm, Sam’s Burger Joint, 330 E. Grayson, (210) 223-2830.
