The Hunger came together in the early ’90s as a small, Houston-based garage band whose members found heroes in the likes of Ministry, Front 242, and the Cure. They’re now seasoned contenders, sporting a rabid fan base due to their incredible energy and infectious live shows. No stranger to ripping up a stage, the Hunger plays a hard-driving mix of heavy rock and electro-industrial grooves that emerge as a signature sound that’s easy to like and hard to label. $10, 8pm, Scout Bar, 19314 Hwy. 281 N., (210) 494-7700.
