Release Date: 2008-12-03

The Current loves the East Side! This year marks the 5th annual Downtown Alliance Urban Spaces Tour, and the tour focuses on the near East, including Tucker’s Kozy Korner, the Carver Community Cultural Center, the Friedrich building, a residence by noted contemporary architect Candid Rogers (left), St. Paul Square, and more. The tour takes several hours, and will include both walking and coach transport, plus food and drink. Tickets are $75 for a single ticket, $125 for couples, and a special discount rate for “6 packs.” Tickets raise funds for the Downtown Alliance/San Antonio, an organization that fosters engagement with the downtown city fabric as a vibrant and creative place to work, live, and play.

Tour groups are limited to 25 participants, and tours start every half hour beginning at 2:30pm through 7:30pm Friday, December 5. Contact the offices of the Downtown Alliance for tour tickets and more information (210) 225-3862.
