Saxophonist Richard “Filthy Rich” Oppenheim and singer Katchie “Katchmo” Cartwright front Stompy Jones & the Jumpin’ Punkins, a collective named after a couple of Duke Ellington tunes. The cookin’ little jazz band has dancing on the brain, serving up swinging classics with the all-star rhythm section of Ed “Fast Eddie” Torres at the drums, Tim “Socko” Paco on bass, and special guest “Ivory” John Sheridan on the keys. $5, 8:30pm, Carmen’s de la Calle, 720 E.
