Release Date: 2009-01-21

Easily one of the most talented and respected acts in San Antonio, the Man-Eaters of Tsavo is San Anto-style stoner metal at its finest. Guitarist Eddie Hernandez, also of percussive Latino soul outfit Sexto Sol, effortlessly leads the instrumental trio down the hatch with his sonically expansive acid-rock jams, while their wall of sound evokes Sabbath sludge, the space-trip blues of Trower, and the ferocity of Burton-era Metallica. Free, 11pm, The Mix, 2423 N. St. Mary’s, (210) 735-1313.
