Centro Cultural Aztlan presents its 31st annual Segundo de Febrero Art Show that commemorates the 1848 signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and the beginning of the Mexican-American as a political entity in the United States. Noted San Antonio artist Raul Servin will be the lead artist this year.  His painting Soy Ilegal, No Criminal, is the inspiration and title for this year’s exhibition, which focuses on recent immigration issues and attempts to put them into a historical context for better public understanding and clarification. Thirty artists have been invited to create works that seek to clarify and understand issues created by the ending of the U.S. Mexican War and the new border that created a bi-cultural citizenry with dual identity, history and traditions.
