Oktoberfest takes over the Beethoven Maennerchor this weekend with a raucously appetizing combination of accordions, beer, clogs, and Bratwurst. Last year, I paid a premium for one of the food vendors to leave the corned beef off of a Ruben sandwich, which infuriated the cook, but the steaming pile of Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing on marbled rye was well worth it. Just make sure to have breath mints on hand if you plan on dancing any polkas with foxy frauleins after eating one of these succulent Deutsch treats. $5, 5 p.m., Beethoven Maennerchor, 422 Pereida St., San Antonio, (210) 222-1521, beethovenmaennerchor.com
