He was voted the “World’s No. 1 DJ” (for the third consecutive year, by DJ Magazine), became the first DJ to play live onstage during the opening ceremonies at the Olympic Games (Athens), and was appointed Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. Thousands of Red Bulls later (he’s been known to down 31 of them in a 24-hour period and travels with his own Jägermeister machine), the Dutch treat is on tour promoting 2009’s Kaleidoscope.
