Although this is technically a writers’ panel, the Jewish Community Center is billing the event as a girls’ night out, filled with laughter. Authors Jodyne Speyer, Bob Morris, Sarah Wendell, and Laurie Graff tackle the politics of relationships with a self-help-meets-stand-up-comedy approach. Passages from Speyer’s book Dump ’Em: How to Break Up with Anyone From Your Best Friend to Your Hairdresser will no doubt provide for some humorous tidbits. According to actress Fran Drescher, “Dump ’Em is my guidebook for getting rid of people.” $15, 7:30pm, Holzman Auditorium, Jewish Community Center, 12500 N.W. Military Highway, (210) 302-6820, jccsanantonio.org
