Are we at ubiquity yet? Not with San Antonio’s own historical-fiction novelist David Liss (davidliss.com) and prize-winning short-story writer Andrew Porter (andrewporterwriter.com). (Fine, transplants, but they got here as fast as they could, etc.) The pair are anchoring Gemini Ink’s Autograph Series this week, with a free reading and book-signing Thursday night, and the Colloquium Luncheon Friday, which features the de-rigueur interview by Trinity lit-crit prof Coleen Grissom. Attend the public reading to ask probing questions about the writing life; attend the luncheon to support Gemini Ink’s community programming. Thursday night’s event is co-sponsored by the Russell Hill Rogers Fund for the Arts and Trinity University.
Reading/Q&A/autographs: Free, 7-9pm, February 18, Chapman Graduate Center Auditorium, Trinity University. Colloquium: $50/person, $350/table of eight, 11:45am-2pm February 19, Pearl Studio. Geminiink.org for more info. — Elaine Wolff
