In conjunction with the Más Rudas Collective exhibition Operation Canis Familiaris, the Guadalupe Gallery presents the Life of the Westside Dog Show: an artful playground for dogs and their humans. Whether you have a super-talented pooch or a hideous mongrel, prizes are up for grabs. A dog/human look-a like contest kicks things off at 6:30 p.m., followed by Most Talented and Ugliest Dog competitions at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively, and the crowning of Mr. and Mrs. Más Rudas (Best in Show based on audience votes). As DJ Plata spins, guests can enjoy beer, wine, and hot dogs (donations appreciated), pose with props in a Westside-themed photo booth ($10), and get free veterinary advice while pets go on sniffing sprees and test their skills in a fenced-in obstacle course and dog park. Free, 6-9pm, Guadalupe Gallery parking lot, 723 S. Brazos, guadalupeculturalarts.org, leashes required.
