Houston’s Indian Jewelry is about to embark on a tour of the U.S. and Canada in support of Totaled, a “weird, dirty” album they think would “sound best coming out of a pickup on a Galveston beach.” Although their abstract, feedback-heavy music often gets labeled as “dark,” there’s also light — albeit overcast — to be found in their obscured lyrics and hard-to-describe, dream-like arrangements. Indian Jewelry could provide an apt soundtrack for an unsettling David Lynch film, but their side project Cherry Coke (formerly Diamonds + Pearls) has a much more danceable agenda — they’re a Prince cover band. Austin’s Rayon Beach opens the show and SA’s Plata spins after. $5, 10:30pm, Saluté, 2801 N. St. Mary’s, (210) 732-5307.
