Rita Urquillo-Ruiz, Ph.D. leads this gallery talk with artist David Zamora Casas, who took inspiration from his Catholic upbringing vis-à-vis his bohemian, lifestyle for the exhibition Ancient Guardians of the Sky, on view at Bihl Haus Arts through July 31. Casas’s interactive installation and exhibition asks viewers to reflect upon “the things we admit and the things we dare not say.” Religious icons, Aztec Gods, lovers, lace, fruit, alien spacecrafts, and the Alamo all accompany Casas in this Technicolor exploration of xenophobia, racism, bigotry, and homophobia. Free, 2pm, Bihl Haus Arts, 2803 Fredericksburg, bihlhausarts.org
