Seriously, Steve?

It's one thing that I can only delete in one direction from my iPad, but I've learned to deal with it.  There are workarounds, inconvenient as they are.

However, if I'm going to spend an additional $9.99 for the Pages app on the "magical" beast, I'd have liked the consideration of compatible formatting.

Here's the issue in a nutshell:

  1. I wrote a document using the Pages app
  2. I used the email document feature (which includes Pages, PDF and Word format options)
  3. I opted to send it in Pages format to my Mac (duh, seems a logical format) for larger screen viewing
  4. I downloaded the attachment
  5. I tried to open it
  6. I received an error message describing incompatibility between the versions

Really?

I mean, I know the Pages app is almost excessively dumbed down from the full version, but does it really have to be that dumb?  If I can send any vintage of .doc to Word and have it recognize it, why in the world can't the "superior" Pages recognize itself in the same way?

I hope you read this, Steve.  I hope you read it and credit $9.99 back to my itunes account so I can buy something equally useless, like a Justin Bieber album.
