More than 90 local artists will be represented this weekend when the 4th Annual On & Off Fredericksburg Road Studio Tour takes over the neighborhoods of Jefferson, Monticello Park, Los Angeles Heights, Keystone, Beacon Hill, and Alta Vista, all of which border SA’s historic Deco District. Kicking off the weekend of self-guided studio hopping is Bihl Haus Arts’ On & Off Fred Autograph Party, at which guests will have an opportunity to preview works by each participating artist and have them sign the 112-page catalog ($10 in advance; $15 during the tour), which doubles as a handy color-coded map and guide. Expect to find everything from ceramics and jewelry to metalwork and one-of-a-kind light fixtures created by emerging and established artists showing in galleries, studios, backyards, and repurposed grocery stores. Cycling art fans shouldn’t miss Public Art San Antonio’s Studio Tour Bike Ride, which departs from Bihl Haus Arts at 2 p.m. Sunday.
